so many pigeons around my house have been getting sick within the last 3 months and i keep finding dead ones or poor lil scraps that dont make it throught the night. i found another pigeon today and i have it under a nice heat lamp (not too hot) and its no longer VERY poofed out, its poofed on its head.. i gave it 3 cc of water with the correct amount of albon in it, but i dont know WHAT is wrong with the bird.. i have medicine for canker, worms, and coccidia. i also have baby pigeon formula for later. in what order do i medicate the bird? and how do i find out what it has? so far this is all i can say about it: doesnt have an unpleasant odor, very wobbly, VERY skinny, no canker in throat, hard crop, and sleeps every second it can, even if im standing right in front of it.

Does the crop feel hard with food?

Do you have Spartrix? I would start with that, no matter that there is no sign of canker. Next is heat, put him gradually on higher temperature until reaches 37~38 degree Celsius.
If you have baby bird formula, mix runny one about 5 ml and add honey, this will give him strength and borrow you some time to medicate. Give him warm formula but not too hot. Next I would go for Appertex one pill and Ivermectin one drop on the back. Instead of water, runny formula with honey in the crop.
Watch his poops and please post some pictures maybe we can see something to help us determine what is going on.
