ARE YOU SERIOUS!?

as some might know muffins lost her mate a little while after i found a very sick baby pijji i named Jackie. a while after oreo died i tried to find her a mate since Jackie was a girl....eventually i swapped a sick robin for a rescued fancy squeakeri named Foofie. i was realy hoping Foofie was the male that would pair up with Muffins when he was older. i was getting my hopes up when i noticed that they where dong very well in the same cage, jackie and muffins always fought if any of them enterd the others part of the cage. they've always been so mean to each other and foofie and muffs are so nice. THEN i put muffins out in the coup with Jackie and i one again for the 3rd time this week thought "jackies acting very manly, but shes still a little baby" Jackie flew around after Muffins and pecked at her and muffins would fly away. that was normal, Jackies mean to every bird in HER COUP. but what i didnt expect was for muffins to fly to jackie and and then JACKIE FED MUFFINS. like full on mating type feeding. soo...jackie...not a girl....and....shes too young? this doesnt add up to me.... but hey! if it makes muffs happy then what can i do...just....now we have one out of place foofy... lets hope its a she! last thing i need is bird rivalry.

OH MY... ...you do have a time with your pigeons. I think Jackie is old enough to mate. I did have one that mated at 4 months, although that was a little unusual.

but doesnt this mean i cant release jackie? or can i form a way that he'll just fly back to muffins like oreo?

Jackie running after Muffins and pecking at her sounds like a male driving his mate back to the nest.
The way I look at it, whether there are two females or a male and a female, as long as they are happy, that's what counts.
