Anyone here speak French?

There is a woman on Twitter, an animal lover, who told me she found a pigeon who can't use it's legs. She is from Canada and speaks almost no English. This is her profile and her Twitter page. Her email must be around there somewhere. Maybe someone who speaks French can talk to her, she mentions wildlife coming to get it and euthanasia. I don't think she knows how to help it.

I couldn't find a contact on the profile or the Twitter page, where I only saw two mentions of the pigeon in reply to Jenn's messages. Tried the website too, but no joy.

Oh well, I subscribed to Twitter -- I suppose it would have to happen some day...
Got a message at the end saying Twitter was over the limit, and to try later, so I don't know whether my subscription has gone through or not.

Funny you say that, I should have checked my messages yesterday :( I am usually on top of my emails and I receive them right away...I don't know why I didn't yesterday :(

On a happier note, I bumped into an illicit pigeon feeder a few days ago :) We have strict laws against feeding the pigeons, but this feeding area is in a corner of a big park near my house. There was a lady who fed the group for about 15 years and now this man took over. He told me he gets harassed by the police, he feels targeted also because he is anglo and our police is very french. His name is Bob and he said he will not stop feeding the pigeons (every day!) until he gets arrested. You should see these babies :) As soon as he comes in they all fly to him, all over him...and there are squirrels and other birds as well...it is so wonderful to see the non competitive nature of these creatures, they are so gentle...it is wonderful also because there are a lot of children in this park, they get to grow up with these birdies :)

I take my bike and visit from time to time, it gives me a lot of peace. I will take pics and show you.

When you run into Bob again, please do let him know ALL of us here at Pigeon Angels so appreciate all he is doing for our fine feathered friends and their friends. Bless his heart.

I just called him; his name is actually Bill Watkins. He was going to feed the birdies today but too early for me (my camera battery is not charged...) so I will call tomorrow morning to set up a time, probably around 2p.m. I will bring him some of the seeds I have (not all, you never know) and have a chat and take pictures. As soon as I have that, I will post. Who knows? This could be the first safe feeding zone in Montreal!
