I post a message here because I'm not in facebook from a while, but I need an advice.

Some weeks ago a friend found a little squab fallen from the nest. The nest was too high (he found the little piji in the centre of the city, so it must be on the top of any apartament) and so he called me.
Here was my little bean-sprouted pal (a friend of mine said that yellow plume seems like soy sprouts Happy)

I named him Polidoro, he had canker but I threated him and he survived.

I feed him...

I took him to the park

He's so tame with humans... and that's my fear.
I'm taking him everyday to the park because I hope to relase him there, but I'm scared about what humans could do him (luckily there are no cat that could kill him, I choose that park also for that reason)... what you suggest to do?
I'm sure he wants to be free, he always watches outside my window :( But I'm scared about how he's tamed... maybe I was a too much participating mum... :( :(

Give me some advices please :( thanks!

Hi Marta,

You did a wonderful job with Polidoro! Does he have any other pigeons he can interact with, so he can get used to their ways?
If he's eating by himself now, you could perhaps reduce the time you spend with him except for changing his food and water and cleaning his cage -- that would make him more independent of people, but the question is would he know how to find food and water at the park?
I hope you rejoin Facebook and post your questions there, as the forum is only being kept as an archive now.

Love,

Teresa
