I hope Cynthia can use these images, they are of Roger, one of my first pigeon rescues in 2007. I originally caught him after seeing him being attacked by a cat. He had two large wounds but after a week on antibiotics was healing well. He then had canker and it took another week to heal from that. He then started showing symptoms of Avian pox. The lesions started on his toes and he ended up with two main lesions on his beak. He was a fighter and we thought he turned a corner as the lesions looked like they were about to fall off. Sadly, literally the next day(new years day) Roger took a turn for the worse and developed breathing difficulties. He must have developed wet pox deep in his trachea. Sadly he didn't make it, but he taught me alot about pigeons and introduced me to the world of pigeon rescue!

Hi Poppyfield, Hi there/Bye

I'm so sorry to hear Roger was unable to overcome it's illness.

Pox and canker can be so debilitating. Disappointed

Thank You for sharing these photos. They will be such an 'educational' asset for others.

Cindy
