I have to tell you the funniest thing...

They are there as lookouts to make sure you come back - that's food, don't let her out of your sight!

Don't you wish you could read their mind? Sometime mine will come up to me, look me straight in the face, and tilt their little head to one side. I would just love to know exactly what they are thinking. They're so funny. Probably thinking "If this pain in the neck person who is always bothering us is back here AGAIN, she had better be bearing peanuts. Okay, where are they?" LOL. I'd like to know what they thought when they saw you there. Not where you're supposed to be at all.

LOL That is too funny Charis. I'll bet they think a heck of a lot more than most people think they think! My Growly, who can't fly, will tell me quite plainly what she wants. In the loft she can't get up to the little door out to the aviary. She will stand on a low shelf and lean towards it. She'll look at me, then look at the door, until I put my hands near her so she can hop into them. She's very plainly asking to be lifted to the aviary. I can always tell when she wants to go out there cause she gives me that special look.

I wish people would give pigeons as much credit for their intelligence as they do discredit them in general.
