| What a great story. Many thanks for sharing it with us. It's sad that the chickens have gone through such times, but uplifting to read of the good life they now have and of course sporting their new jumpers. | |

Poor little bare chicken behinds. :( Be careful of what you wish for. Next time I hear of retiring hens in NY...I'll be sending them your way. Really, chickens are such wonderful, interesting creatures. They love to be on the move, hunting and scratching and to have been confined would have been no less than torture. They do suffer so from the cold and then to have lost their feathers...poor sweet things. That's quite a story. I have a hard time imagining anyone knitting sweaters for US hens, let alone so many. I'd really like to meet that woman. | |
