I have a question:

While Pina, Willy and Jimi are hospitalized since quite some time and probably will be for longer I have realized that their nails are growing more than usual due to the lack of hard/stony floor. They are running here on carpets, cling to plastic boxes instead of rocks or other hard surfaces so their nails are not used as usual. Do I have to clip them or should I just wait until they are getting a problem/obstacle?

I know that other bird's nails have to be cut from time to time if they are kept in cages. So I do not know what I should do here Hmmm

You can clip the ends of the nails and doing so will be more comfortable to them especially if the nails begin to curl.
Have some baking soda on hard just incase the nail begins to bleed. If that happens, pack the end of the nail with the baking soda and apply pressure to stop the bleed.

Just place a brick in their boxes and let them perch on.
