| Don't be alarmed...not a single Pigeon has died but here's the story...Landy called me and told me that one of the hens I had given her, Mrs. Wiggens, was acting strangely and was very thin. She brought the bird inside and warmed her. After she warmed her she started fluids and then hand feeding. She also started the bird on baytril and metronidazole. About a week later, the bird passed what is in the picture and then started eating and acting well again. Have any of you seen any thing like this before? | |

| Dr. Frank thinks it is a benign tumor that got dislodged. I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. | |

Yep! Mine too. I'm sure glad Mrs. Wiggens is doing OK.

| I am absolutely clueless...how bizarre.....
Dunno about the embryo theory....isn't even a 2-3 day old egg still primarily yolk inside, not a formed being ???

| Bizarre is the word for it! I also thought they looked like embryos, especially the one on the left! But they were kind of hollow when opened up. What about that strange end, like a suction pad, on both? Like leeches, but leeches would have been thinner, I suppose. | |

| Bizarre sure sums it up, Teresa. No one I have shown the pictures to, has ever seen anything like it before. | |

I'm sticking to the embryo theory.

| It looks to me like it was one thing that broke in half before it came out. I'm wondering if it's an accumulation of shells that stuck together over time. Whatever, it must have been very uncomfortable for poor Mrs. Wiggins. | |
