Germay Reports Newcastle Disease in Pigeons

The first autbreak of of Newcastle disease since 2008 has been reportet near Bochum.

The veterinary authority has sent an Immediate Notification datet 4 May to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE)

The report states that the outbreak startet on 3 May at Goldhamme in Noth Rhine-Westphalia in breeding establshment with 20 pigeons. Five of the bird died.
The last outbreak of Newcastle disease in Germany was in September 2008.
