Torn Lip

Hello all:

Last Sunday I called Charis for a little emergency. My Piggy was beaten by Bank, they were fighting for the nest sitting. She got a torn lip on her right side about 2mm.

Does anyone know if the torn lip would seal-heal together? I'm afraid she might have a wide or longer mouth opening when it heals without sealing the upper & lower side lips.

Thanks Charis for the help last Sunday. I didn't know I could use Neosporin. It's looks drier this morning but I did not check how it looks like if I open her beak. I'm afraid if I open her mouth the cut gets fresh again.

It will get better, but it may never be the way it was before. I still think she will do ok in the long term.

I should think that would close up some over time. That must've hurt.

Where Blueberry got Little Dove on the beak (made a slit right down the top of his beak), it seems to have healed without any problems.

Poor Baby That must have really hurt.

I'm sure it will heal in time and she should do just fine.

I've never dealt with that kind of injury, but with Charis in your corner you can't go wrong!

Piggy's mouth has healed. I think. I really didn't get the chance to check on her inside beak but so far it looks fine.
