Introducing our quickie loft

We decided to build this little loft because the pigeons in quarantine had no loft to call home.
this is Precious, Indigo, Mario, Solo & Hamlets new home. I'm hoping the weather stays nice so I can paint the exterior.

We still have to attach wire mesh around the chain link fence & wash the windows, I left them dirty so the pijjies would know not to try to fly through, & find window clings.
the loft was made from recycled windows & building materials.

What a lucky group of angels!!

Looks like they have a great new home. Plenty of room and alot of sunlight coming through all the great windows.

I'm terrible cause anytime I pass a window or wood or just about anything along the road that I can reuse I stop & pick it up In fact I have my other half doing the same thing!

Thanks Louise We put a window on the south, east & west sides, I hope this way they get plenty of warm sun in the winter. I'm even thinking about attaching shutters that can be closed.

There's nothing terrible about that, Robin. I call it 'smart thinking'.

Finally took a photo of the Pigeon Cottage Loft after I painted it.

As you can see Mario, on the porch, Solo, on the ground & of course Precious, who is trying to convince me not make him sleep in the cottage again!

Hamlet & Indigo are camera shy & hiding under the cottage.

I love the planter. Great little touch.

It looks wonderful! Love the colour, the planter and the fact it's all made from recycled parts! Clever you and lucky them!

Robin, that's really cute. I like the color too. Very cozy looking, and I like the planter. I'm just as bad about stopping if I see something good like that.
