| Hi to all pjijes lovers ! Well, maybe there are someone that remember that I found a hurted pigeon sme days ago. Ok, now he's ok, not totally well but he-s eating, drinking and his legs are a better ! Today Igo ate from my hand a seed ! ! !I was taking some seeds from his cage, and he ate a wheat seed. I was so happy. I think I had a look like this *________* ahahahhaha My question is this Is a good thing if he becames so friendly with me ? I want to free him when he will be healtly... I am scared that when he will be free maybe he will find a bad person that hurt him because he belives that human are good people... | |

| Don't worry, Gotlin, pigeons are very clever and they can identify individual people -- and the place where they were well treated. It's very likely that Igo, after being released, would come back to your house regularly and hope you would give him some seeds, but not very likely he would accept gifts from other people in different places. Many of my releases come back every day for a treat. They simply fly in through the window, land on the furniture and wait for seeds. Some still eat out of my hand, but others don't. But they certainly know me, because if someone else comes into the room they keep their distance. | |

| Igo will know you as a friend, Gotlin. As Teresa has mentioned, once released he will probably come back often or even stay very close to your place. I have had some releases who have left and returned a year or two later for a visit. I know who they are because they had some kind of distinctive marking that tells them apart from the rest. | |
