new pigeon with lime green poop

hi all had a new bird shipped into me yesterday. At first I thought it was just starvation from shipping so I hydrated it with all bird pro and gave it some kaytee hand feed. I now see it pecking at seed but the poop still comes out firm but lime green. I'm thinking these are the starting stages of a digestive problem. What should I do at this point ? The bird isn't sitting with its feathers ruffled or looking lame. It does fly and seem reponsive. I just don't want it to get any worse. TIA!

Sorry about the late reply, but I've been unwell for a couple of days.
Lime green may just be related to diet or to the nervousness of being shipped. If he shows no other symptom of being unwell, I'd start by giving him a probiotic to help his intestines settle.

Is his weight normal? Anything that might make you suspect worms, like a prominent keel?

hello, I started her on all bird pro a week ago it was getting better (went from light green to dark green to browish) and now its back to green dihrea again because I had to start her on a wormer (Moxidectin Plus). 3PM today marks the end of that treatment so she can go back on the all bird pro. I am going to put a cap full of ACV into the gallon of all bird i've mixed up hopefully that should help too. poor lil guy!

shes doing better, not only is she getting a probiotic but organic acv mixed in too ..I'll upload some pix soon shes a pretty grizzle.

Thank you for the update, it's great to know she's doing better! The organic ACV is very good for keeping protozoan infections at bay, and the probiotic should restore the intestinal balance.
