This adorable little Pigeon arrived here last night. She was brought to me by a very nice young couple that found her on their porch. She actually arrived there last Friday but they had to leave for the weekend, so left the bird in the care of a neighbor. The little Pigeon has been dining on crushed dry cat food and so she's a little thin. Her beautiful feathered feet are a little dirty too.
She will be spending some time with me in the house so I can watch her, make sure she's eating, and keep an eye on her. Another Cutie Pie 100_1412

She is beautiful! I am so glad she found her way to you.

But this is strange: Janet, you and I have all received a fancy-footed pigeon this week. I haven't had one before in my 10 years of rescue work.

'She' is absolutely stunning, Charis. :WHAT?:
And that pose is too adorable. Right on

I think this one is an English Long Faced Tumbler. I have NO idea
It's hard to see in this picture, but the bird does have pearl eyes.

What a beauty! Happy I love feathered feet. I have one bird with them, short ones, the feathers wore off along the back of her legs from nest sitting. From the front she has feathers, from the back her legs look bare LOL.

I can't really see from the pic, so what do 'pearl eyes' look like - I think Bootsie has kinda gray(ish) eyes, but they seem to change color as they get older I believe?

The eyes are hard to see in the picture, but I bet they're really very pretty.

So is the 'long faced' and 'short faced' describing the size of the forehead? Can't say I've ever quite understood these terms

What would this fella be described as?
