| That is so interesting. I wish such buildings could still be incorporated into our landscapes. It would enable pigeons to co-exist with us whilst at the same time keeping them under a certain amount of control. There would be far less hatred directed towards them I'm sure if people saw them as having 'their place' in society. There are some amazing stuctures there. I'm going to keep this info to hand should I get the opportunity to persuade the local developers to consider a dovecote to house our local white flock when their present home is destroyed for re-development. It could so easily be a point of interest instead. Maybe the Iranian ones might be a little OTT for our local planners. Janet | |

| I agree, Janet. So much time, negitive energy and money is spent trying to rid the world of feral Pigeons when the easiest and the most humane thing would be to peacefully con-exist with them. | |
