| Thank you Carol, Cindy and all. I took Aramis back this afternoon. Vet did a good job and cleared both abscesses. He showed me what he took out and it was quite a growth. Luckily both eyes are saved and he can see well now. For next 10 days he will continue to be on Doxycicline pills and Terra Cortril ointment. Last day of this year 31.12 he has another appointment at the Vet to check his healing progress. Portos is fine, he doesn’t need Baytril anymore, only good feeding. He feels stronger and shows is by taking every opportunity to hover and stretch wings. | |

| This morning he was alert, poops were bit greenish but it can be because of not eating much yesterday (se was sedated during the op). Tissue arround eyes is still swollen, but eyes are wide open. | |

| That is such good news, Plamenh. It's great to know Aramis is alert with eyes wide open. I hope all continues to move in a positive direction, which I'm sure it will. | |

| Fantastic news! I'm so happy to hear that Aramis's operation went well and he can now see! It's brilliant that you convinced the vet to operate. Perhaps next time he won't be so ready to recommend euthanasia -- to you or anybody else! It's great that Atos, Portos and D'Artagnan are improving too! Hope you're managing to get some rest, now that your mousquetiers are progressing well. What a fantastic job you've done with them! | |

| Just some update on the gang: Atos - not a squeaker anymore, now sounds like frog. Still syringe feeding though. Portos - hunts Atos to feed him and gets ocassional wing slap from him. Eyes are clean and poop is fine. On syringe feeding and vitamins. Aramis - Next friday goes for stitches removal, Eats like pig but pretends that is not him when I'm around. d'Artagnan - Has diarrhea and I switched to beta glucan and vitamins. He has energy and everything looks fine, just poop is not to my liking. | |

| Glad to hear all is going well at the Plamenh household. It sounds like you will be doing a bit of 'interior' car cleaning. I hope Aramis' eye swelling is resolved without further issues. | |

Me too Cindy, Vet told me not to worry and that this is the part of the healing process. I hope he is right. | |

| So, Atos, Portos, and d’Artagnan are doing great. Daily they receive one tablet for immune system boosting and their 2x20 ml formula mix. They all show interest in seeds and peck some, but I want them strong and healthy when moult starts. Every day they have their free flying time together in the loft. They take opportunity to trash the loft and turn everything upside down. Like a gang of young hooligans they are. All dishes incidentally left unattended get overturned, Senegals get bullied through the bars of the cage (dove do not stress to much, they just move deeper in their sanctuary. Older birds has to be irritated, trio spits on them, swears and insults their hens until grownups chase them away. Even I am not spared their brutality. They use my head as trampoline to get from one side of the loft to the other. When I finally get hold of them to place them back in their cages, they look at me with their big innocent eyes and say - That was fun, can we do it again, please? Then I remember why my neighbors were visiting my grand parents so often and my name mentioned so often in their conversations when I was kid too. Aramis, he is fine, but deserves separate post. | |
