If a dove escaped outside would they stick around or eventually fly back in or would they just take off and never be seen again. I had a close call this morning and want to know what the chances are that they would come back. The lady that used to have them said that she used to let them fly free and that they came back every night, but I've always heard you should never let a dove outside.

I think it depends on the dove whether it would come back. Doves don't have a homing instinct like pigeons do.

We have a couple of doves came here becuase they were found in the winter at someones bird feeders & they were very skinny.

I wouldn't count on a dove coming back or sticking around if it got loose. 🇳🇴

I agree with Robin. To let them out would be risky.
