Hooray! There are people in that area who are going to challenge the council's decision and make a fuss in the media about how bad culling is. So hopefully the council will realise how expensive and pointless a cull will be in the long run.

| Hopefully someone will see the results. They're going to make a lot of people angry if they go along with it... | |

| Er... can we vote more than once?...
I voted yesterday, and at that time it was only 67% against the cull. I'm delighted that the 'no' percentage continues to increase. I hope that the local objecters have got PICAS involved, as they know perfectly well that culling is no solution and would be in a position to offer alternatives.

I believe so, Teresa. At least once from each computer. And it increased rapidly.

| Today the vote stands: 91% NO and only 9% yes. I think a lot of pro-pigeon people have voiced their opinions and made it clear that culling is not the answer! Cynthia and a few other people in Norfolk are on the case and here's what has happened so far: http://www.pigeonrescue.co.uk/northwalshamcull.htm "I have just spoken to James Wilson from North Norfolk District Council, the PACT Sanctuary will take and relocate the adult pigeons trapped and he will facilitate my access to the squabs if it is done just before the proofing, problem will be if the trapping takes place before the proofing...I am working on that. He says they haven't got the trapping sorted yet so we have a couple of weeks. Any very young squabs or advanced eggs that don't have a room in an incubator can go under my nesting hens, they will be overjoyed! So now it is just a matter of getting things to work out... Cynthia"Animal Aid have written a good post about pigeon culling and humane control: The case for the humane control of pigeons | |
