Watch Homie Bird take it to the ceilings! He fly's around my loft on command in this amazing footage finally taken by me. I was waiting for the perfect time to catch my Pigeon on film. Let the film drive you in as you experience what its like to see a tame up close Pigeon flying.

I know right!, I been really thrilled on Homie's Performance. I think he even noticed me being impressed. He is acting even more chill around me since that day I bathed him and gave him a fly around. I do that alot but it was then on film where Homie flew best, And that Bath was the best Bath ive ever seen a bird do by himself. Im gonna move close to Animal auctions and this auction(s) im gonna go to are strickly birds too, (for the most part). I see old pigeons there (its sad i know) Old pigeons being sold because breeders know they wont breed anymore. BUT THEY SO FANCY AND PRETTY! I wanna take all the old fancy pigeons and raise there last years with me, Id give them canker medication....but idk Im still judging weither or not to take care of old timer pigeons or not.....If it brings any jelously between me and Homie i really cant risk it....but good idea eh?

I don't know if I'd try that, I mean it might just damage your relationship with Homie, as you said. At the moment he knows he is your baby, but if there were more pigeons in the house he could become cold towards you, not fly on command any more.
There is no guarantee that any new pigeons would be tame, and if they're retired racers, the first time they saw a chance they would escape back to their original loft.
You would also need to consider how much room you've got and how your neighbours feel. If you're in rented accommodation, there will be rules, and most places don't like tenants having pigeons. It's a pain in the neck, but these things have to be considered, because otherwise people can get nasty and take it out on you, your girlfriend and your pigeons.

Thanks for the heads up. I take everything you said in massive consideration and ill becareful. The thing is what really tempts me alot is. One of my favorite birds was a old timer bird. He was a big jackimin bird. Was 15 when i got him, I just spend 2 - 6 hours a day right beside him, Only took him 2 - 3 days to bound wit me and brush his fear off. I use to beatbox music, and he'd dance to it!. amazing really.
I think old timer birds have a tame affection unlike the other pigeons. You know if your patient or lucky. Maybe i was just lucky idk. It takes more time tho. Like i said I would be in a Pigeon Coop. right beside him, taking him out (he cant really fly those big pigeons), These Fancy Pigeons are neat , my Dad and I use to get them alot. This old timer was the last fancy pigeon I had. He was awesome. I named him Big Bird

That's really neat! Some breeds of pigeons are more friendly than others, and it sounds like those fancies were very friendly. I've only ever seen them on photos, and I would love to see one 'in person'! Do they live less years than normal pigeons? Or did you and your dad have to give away the ones you had? And how do they get on with other pigeons, do the smaller ones get frightened of them or don't they bother about that?

Fancy pigeons I find usuallly to be the more dominate bird. And more friendly, most of the fancies i get are bigger, or look bigger from all the feathers. The one's I had were all coming and going either being sold, or they were too old to breed so we just kept care of them until old age., Big Bird however tho was attacked by a crazy raccoon(s) , Tore a hole corner of our pigeon coop. Came out with the biggest Pigeon I had. Very sad day. He almost lived to be 17. or maybe he did. He was one that danced to my beatboxing.
The fancies at this auction i went to were very scared. I snuck my hand in and he let me pet his head for a moment. beauitful pigeons, just not as big as "Big Bird" Maybe i can find a photo on the internet type "Big Bird" was
Wow yeah, This is the type right here "Jacobin Pigeon" Picture this one black and much thicker. That was big bird.

That's a lovely photo! Those pigeons look very impressive, but you gotta feel sorry for them in hot weather, with those big feather collars! Such a shame the pigeons you saw were scared... then again, poor things being auctioned off like potatoes or something! They probably never had any affection shown to them, or they wouldn't have been auctioned in the first place. Isn't it sad when people treat animals as if they were objects?
