| I was playing around on a slide show site and made this. Winnie is a very tight sitter and Creamsicle has to squeeze into the nest with her if he is to get any sitting time for himself. They wind up cuddled together quite often. Winnie and Creamsicle | |

| I was really intrigued with your slideshow, Jenaka, so I decided to checked out the 'make a slideshow'. Since I had never done anything like this it all looked so ing but I decided to give it a go. I got the pictures in place and them went to choose a song to go along with it. I was unfamiliar with most of the songs/artist and couldn't seem to find an appropriate song. Then I discovered a song by Seal, of which I knew both the song and artist. I think the song is perfect for what our ferals pigeons strive for. Here's the link to my slideshow. | Miss Winnie the fantail was a stray found in someone's backyard. The person gave it to a wildlife rehabber who posted on PT looking for a home for her. Creamsicle was found lost and debilitated by a good samaritan and brought to an animal hospital. Winnie is a very serious girl about her nest. Her nickname around here is "evil mommy". Go anywhere near her nest and she blows up like a balloon, her eyes pop out, and she makes the most horrible noises. Creamsicle is no slouch either in the defense department. They nest in a cat carrier. Winnie had decided that my nice nestboxes weren't good enough so she had planted herself on a bare shelf in the loft and wouldn't budge. So I had to put the cat carrier there and she and Creamsicle moved right on in. They have food and water right outside the opening and chase any birds away from it, unless the 2 are in the nest together and Winnie's big tail blocks their view. Then the other birds can sneak up and eat from their bowl without them seeing. | |

| I bet they can get very snuggly in their cat carrier condo. I love their names. | |
