Super fast doves

Today I finished my first of the three planned new cages. Because of new arrivals I need them desperately. I planned to place four Senegals in one bigger cage and free four single cages for new rescues. Two of the Senegals were moved into the new cage and I went out of the loft to wash their old cages and place them somewhere on the sun to dry. It took me no more than 15 minutes to finish this task and go back in the loft.
By the time I was out one of the doves managed to lay egg in the new place.
I knew that other dove is male as he was doing his coo-bow dance in his old cage, but the second one was with undefined sex. Here we go, now is everything clear and instead of four I’m stuck with two paired doves in new cage. If I place other doves in now, they will start fighting. Well, I guess I'll need to make more cages.

...that is fast! I guess we know what you will be doing this weekend.

Yeah, making small fake eggs before everything else.

You're ... making fake eggs?!?
I'd be happy to send you some woody ones, senegal size (tho' no, they wouldn't get there in time for this clutch).

What do you use to make them from? Clay - or... ???

If you ever have extra real eggs, I've blown them out and filled them with glue (slowly, over a period of days - and if anyone knows what might harden faster, I'd love to know).
Of course they're the perfect substitute

I use real eggs to make mould of gipsum plaster, pour some plastic with glue gun and paint them with spraypaint.

By the way talking of extra eggs, I have pigeon and dove eggs factory.
My birds are so productive that I collect eggs daily.

Not only are you a you're very crafty as well, making cages and artificial eggs.

It is a part of the trade I would say. :Yes:
But Scratches on hands and legs are nothing, one can hide them with clothing.
When youngsters fight who will get better position on my head then I have problem explaining around that I have pigeons not eagles.

I have some ladies there can't keep my hat on.
Besides most of the marks are on my face, what should I look like if staret covering?

...no need to go to extremes. How about a base ball hat? It could say... on the front of it. I think that then...you wouldn't have any explaining to do. You could also probably count on other humans keepng their distance.
