My new baby, Pippin

There's a new baby in the family!
She was taken to my avian vet by someone who found her when she fell off the nest, and after two weeks of treatment, the vet entrusted her to me until she's old enough to peck the living daylights out of me, like my other pigeons!

It started to rain when I got there, and as she's so very tiny I brought her home inside my cardigan and raincoat, instead of the carrier:



She's a messy eater and the damp feathers on her forehead were all I'd managed to clean at that stage! She's extremely curious, and got very excited when she heard Piper and Hercules cooing at each other:



And here she is after her meal, perching on my arm:

What a precious little one, Teresa.
She is definitely in the best of hands.

Please do keep us posted on how things go with little Pippin (love the name).

This is a very short but funny video of her getting fed up of waiting and running up my arm to come and demand food with a shrill PEEEEEP! It's like having a referee's whistle for a pet! :eek:

As soon as I let her out, she jumps onto my hand, runs all the way up my arm and comes screaming in my ear for food! Then all the other pigeons shut up and stare at this little titch that came out of nowhere, especially Sammy and Piper.

I tried, but the best I could get was the video whose link is on the previous page, because once she gets very close to the camera, everything gets out of focus!
