| I got in with one of you old links. Pigeon parents are very protective of their eggs and their young and what happened to the baby is why it's best to just leave them alone. I know that can be difficult when you are anxious but you have learned the lesson the very hardest way and I'm so sorry.  | |

| Yes I've learned my lesson. It is definitely the hard way. I regret it and want to make it clear to everyone to never ever EVER make the same mistake I did. It hurts to see life taken away in seconds. | |

| None of the links worked for me. The third one only went to a general blogger's status page. From what you and Charis said in this thread I presume that you lost a baby pigeon because the parents panicked because of your proximity, is that right? If you have the time, please write your warning in this thread, so that all members can learn from your experience.I'm very sorry about the heartache you're going through.  | |

| I managed to see the blog entry this time -- thanks, Charis! Pigeonmadness, it was really unfortunate that Yellow spotted the intrusion and wingslapped, breaking the egg. After that, there was nothing you could have done, so please don't feel that you were to blame for the baby's death. It was a very sad accident. But if the parent pigeons are that protective, then they're best left alone, but you couldn't have known that at the time.  | |
