The Littlest Angel

This little baby arrived a couple of hours ago. I knew he was coming and so I had the incubator ready. He is actually 6 days old although no bigger than a 2 day old baby.
He was found, as a newly laid egg. The egg had been laid in a nest on a balcony at a hotel. When the family staying at the motel found out the nest and egg would be destroyed, they decided to bring the egg home with them and try to incubate it. Miracuiously it worked but that's where the miracle ended because they didn't have a way to regulate his heat.
He has a long way to go to catch up so pray,keep your fingers crossed and don't forget to knock on wood because this baby needs all the extra help he can get.

Oh what a sweet little creature! I really hope that it will make it. But I think it has a strong will to survive - otherwise it would have left this world already.

The baby has had 2 more feedings since 3AM but this poor little baby has a long way to go before catching up with his age.

The Littlest Angel has started to grow. He will be 2 weeks old on Wednesday. He looks more to me like a 6 day old baby. His eyes opened yesterday, his legs have stated to splay, slightly but can that bird ever chow down. Just this morning he started making little baby noises.
I taped his legs a bit ago but he's so squirmy, I'll have Caleb help me do a better job a little later.

On a personal note...I'm pretty craby from middle of the night feedings.The point being...if I bite your head off...don't hold it agsainst me! Forgive me in advance.
I hope that in a day or two I won't need to do that anymore.

Glad to see the little one is beginning to grow and eating like there's no tomorrow.
I'm sure the leg issue will be resolved itself as you caught it early.

And yes as Petra was telling, you can get as grumpy as you feel like I am sure all of us can take that given what the foster mommy is undergoing keeping up all night

Such an adorable little thing.
It looks like he's beginning to grow by leaps and bounds.

She is growing, but still only the size of a 1 week old baby.

She? I think it's a he - with that funky punky coiffure - can only be a boy. What a sweet little thing - oh my - I think this will be the most wonderful little pijjie gentleman!!! I am melting away....

Time will tell.

He may be small for his age and had a rough start, but then so do some humans.
