| I realized this evening that they were no were to be found and so I proceeded to look in every corner and under every cage. I was utterly perplexed and I remembered seeing them yesterday. I have a gas wall furnace in the room, that isn't plugged in. Pigeons like to roost on top of it and I had the back and front screened off so no pigeon could get inside. I was ready to panic when I looked up the back of the furnace and saw Peeps and I knew Beetle must be in there too. I didn't have the right kind of tool to get the hardware cloth off and so I called my former husband. He had them out in about 15 minutes. He couldn't figure out how they got in there as the hardware cloth all seemed to be attached firmly. I'm sure they have a nest in there and Beetle is frantic to get back in there...the obvious problem...once they get in, they can't get out. Reminds me of Georgie nesting in a small hole in the wall. | |

| Within 15 minutes of freeing the couple last night, Peeps laid an egg. Today, Beetle is trying to get through my baracade and into the furnace again. Dan had one heck of a time getting him out and I sure wouldn't want to go through that experience again. | |

| Good grief! You must have been frantic when you couldn't find them. Sammy and Gully have done that to me. But at least they weren't where I couldn't get at them. I'm glad you got them out, and hope they don't find their way back in. I wonder, if they could get in, why they couldn't get out. Guess they just wanted a private little hide a way to raise their babies. I'm glad they're all right. | |

I don't know. One of life's mysteries, I guess. Kind of like things that role across the floor in the dark. | |
