In my searches for pigeon resources I found posts on different forums in Italian and Spanish from people that had found sick or injured pigeons, there is a lot of sympathy around! I also found an article about a place in Switzerland, they said the reason that they had pigeon rescues was that older people like pigeons...and I found an article about people in Colombia that feed and care for the ferals....it is like being part of a secret society! Some years ago I read about the pigeon feeders in China that were creeping out before dawn to feed the pigeons unobserved. At that time I thoght I was the only person in the world that did that.
But back to Matilda's lists: I speak very little Italian, so trying to find resources there has been a bit of a challenge. From what I understand there are a lot of wild bird rescue centres, but city pigeons are considered domestic...however, collared doves and wood pigeons are wild nd therefore treated at these centres.
Should I add what I can?
