| Gee, and I thought I was doing such a great job of changing out the eggs and replacing them with wooden ones. The beginning of Sept., as I was checking to make sure that nobody had laid another egg alongside of the wooden ones that they were sitting on, look what popped up! I guess I had thought that I had changed them, and hadn't. OOPS!!! Delilah is being a very good mommy, and Samson is her Dad. Always room for one more. But................we will be better about double checking the eggs. | |

| Here is the same little one in a basket, waiting for its nest box to be cleaned. A couple of weeks old here. This babies mother had a bad case of canker when she was a baby. The vet wasn't sure she'd make it. She could barely swallow formula, she had so much canker in her throat. If it hadn't been for Charis, I'd have been a basket case. As a matter of fact, it was from her vet list that I found this avian vet. She's very nice. I had been looking for a vet for my birds for a year and couldn't find one around here. So Charis, if not for you, this little one wouldn't probably be here. Thanks for all the support you always give. As a matter of fact, it was also you who asked me to pick up the lost fancy pigeon in a neighborhood 30 minutes from here who was sick and starving. When I lifted up that bird, he was light as a feather. Well, he's strong and healthy now. So that would be the grandfather to this one. See what you started? | |

| She's got some interesting feather coloring going on. It will be fun to watch the feather pattern as she develops. But then then the only way we can do that is to see LOTS of photos. | |

| Another red one! What a beautiful little bird. I also love the mother-baby photo very much. It is so adorable. Up to now I have managed to avoid an oops baby - Emma once nearly tricked me by laying a 3rd egg in addition to her plaster eggs. I have checked lately again - Emma is sitting since 30 days on her plaster eggs now - so my suspicion grows every day | |
