| When I removed Gullys eggs and replaced them with wooden ones, this is what I found. What would make them so different in size? And the smaller one has a rough texture to it. Is this a normal occurance? | |

| Thanks for the link Plamenh. I certainly hope that it isn't something physically wrong with her.I have to admit that as of late, it has been really busy around here, and as I like to spend time with them, I have been getting out there later. So the lights are on later. I am a night owl, and sometimes lose track of the time. I think sometimes I forget that they are pigeons and NOT owls. Bad Mommy! I will start keeping a stricter schedule with them, and make sure that the lights are off earlier. Thanks for the info. Don will just have to wait later for dinner. Spend bird time first. It's fall, and gets darker here earlier and earlier. How late can you keep the lights on without it effecting the birds? I mean, if I let it get dark in the loft when it gets dark outside, That would sometimes be when I get home from work. Not always. I need some time with them each day. | |

| Maybe if you put day/night switch or timer it will do the trick. I believe that it is not so much light but more when they fall asleep and you disturb them. I know that mine stress when I wake them up after dark. | |

| I can try a lamp that comes on when it is still light out. Sometimes when I get home, it is getting dark, and I turn the light on. I'll try a timer so that it doesn't get dark before I get home. Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate it. You would think I'd have thought of it before. Duh! | |

| That's really quite a difference in size. Perhaps because it's a close up, the one looks like a large chicken egg in comparison to the smaller one. | |

Perhaps because it's a close up, the one looks like a large chicken egg in comparison to the smaller one. There was a huge size difference. The close up does exaggerate the size of the larger one. It was like a large size pijjie egg. Larger than what she would normally have. But the small one looked like a song bird egg. Very small. | |
