| Our pigeons have free reign over our flat , which Georgie makes good use of. We normally find her sat in the corner of the kitchen, or bathroom in total darkness.
Today however, after not having seen Georgie for awhile we went to look for her. Bathroom, no, Kitchen, no, Bedroom, no, Hallway, no, hmmm, Living room, no.... hmmm Bathroom sink, no, Bath, no, toilet, no, bin, no, etc... etc...
After an hour of frantic searching I noticed a hole around pigeon size under the toilet pipe leading under the tiled bathroom sink... then the faint sounds of pigeon footsteps... 15 mins later the bath is in pieces and my arms reaching behind the sink.
NOW she thinks of cooing... not while we were searching for her, jolly no.
Blind pigeons really do play hide and seek well...
PS. We've just moved into our new flat, and we never knew this hole existed!!!

| no wonder you were frantic...so glad you found her hope your bathroom isn't in too much of a state now i had a rat years ago who free-ranged as long as i was home she would sneek through the door to the hall and hide upstairs i would then spend 1/2 hr walking about shaking the biscuit tin and calling knowing full well where she was but she always gave me the slip eventually i would return for the umpteenth time to the spare room & find her square in the middle of the bed...laughing at me | |

| We were half expecting Georgie to do the same thing. To just turn up in the living room acting like nothing happened! | |

| So glad that you found Georgie and that she was unharmed.
We had a cat that got up into our ceiling in one of our upstairs rooms and couldn't get down so we had to rip most of the ceiling down to get it.

| ...I know what you went through. My former husband took the furnace duct work apart because we thought out house sparrow had gotten into it. It is such a frantic feeling. I'm glad she is ok. | |

| Oh my! I'm so glad you found her safe and well, but the destruction!!! Hope there aren't any more exotic hidey-holes for her to get into! | |

| Once the bathroom is fixed up, you will both be about this and so will we. | |

| The bathroom is all back together again. Just a few screws to get the side of the bath off. :( Happy to have our Georgie back | |
