| Why is it a good idea?
If you claim to like pigeons, why do you want to get rid of them

If you claim to like pigeons, why do you want to get rid of them Charis LOVES pigeons, and all other creatures, please don't doubt that. The link she posted is not about getting rid of pigeons, but creating a city-centre sheltered and friendly environment for them, and maintaining the essential link between them and the population, especially those who like to (and in these circumstances can) feed them and spend time admiring them. I have seen first hand what the hatred of a few twisted individuals can do. And the results of the widespread dislike and distrust of a large section of the population aren't much better. Where people harrass their local authorities to 'get rid of the nuisances', elected officials eventually have to act. Let it be this way, allocating safe areas and limiting the number of eggs that hatch -- it's by far the lesser evil.
