Splayed legs is a condition babies develop when there is nothing for them to grasp on to while in the nest.
An indication of a splayed leg is when the babies leg begins to point outward from the body. This can occur with both legs or just one and can be corrected if detected early enough.

To help prevent this from happening, make sure there is something under the baby, e.g., a small wash cloth, a piece of an old T-shirt, etc., for them to grasp on to, thereby allowing the legs to stay underneath them rather than sliding out from under them.

Cynthia has provided us with photos showing a splayed leg, how it was treated as well as the end result. Thank You Must give a Great job on the end result.

Folks, if you haven't already done so, please check out this extremely informative post.
