I posted a comment and put PA as my website, but a straightforward invitation might work better!

What a wonderful blog! And the photography is awesome! I wonder where they live, it mentions being very cold for June. Those are lucky little birds to have such a loving guardian. Great job

Think some of it was written when it was winter and she is probably in the USA

On Twitter she gives her location as Munich, but then she has people posting "Greetings from Munich", which suggests that she isn't there.

Perhaps they'll join the group and solve the location mystery. Laughing

What a great diary about the pigeons. I really enjoyed it, and the photography is wonderful. I'll be checking that one out often. Thanks for sharing about it. The birds all look so healthy. Wonderful luck for them to have found these people.

Hi Cynthia and everybody,

I just joined this forum here and I thank you for the invitation.
To clear up the mystery around me - very funny - I live and work in Munich, Germany. I am a full time artist and designer, mostly sitting in front of a large window, working and in between watching "our" pigeons. That's why I decided to make that diary blog because I thought that this might be a unique opportunity to watch these birds so often and in detail and I wanted to write it down.

My mother died this year and once more these wonderful birds helped me to overcome my grief. They often made me laugh and still do each day with their incredible different personalities, with their sometimes funny behaviours and their little jealousy fights and so on. I hope very much that this will go on for a long time.

I am very happy that you like my blog and the photos.

Welcome to another forum of crazy pigeon folk Hi there/Bye

Yes, we are always interested in new (to us) pigeon lovers, and with most on the forums being in North America or the UK, it's a real 'find' if we come across someone elsewhere on the map Smile

Apart from the male of my long-resident pair, who stays in his box when I come out, my little group tend to fly off when I open the door. It's only a small balcony, and I guess they feel nervous when the 'giant' appears.

The pigeon in my avatar is Capuccino - if the door is open enough he comes into the lounge to eat from his own 'special' food dish. He didn't fly off one day, and I saw he had a bad scrape wound on his back. He meekly allowed me to pick him up and put him in a hospital cage. He stayed several weeks, having me put gel on his wound and give him antibiotics, until he was as good as new.

Hi Cappucino,
just read about your story - so lovely! "Ours" are much more cheeky - they walk through the balcony door - and even beneath the curtain (or rather a piece of cloth I have hanging in the open balcony door when it is too hot) with the fringes as if they have never done anything different. They know that they get some goodies inside and they know quite well where those are - Laughing

Yes, the mystery is solved. :boing: LOL
We also have another member from Germany. He goes by Larry Cologne.
Your post also answers my question in your Welcome thread asking if you wrote stories about pigeons. Happy Dance

My condolences on the passing of your Mom. I truly understand when you say your birds helped you overcome your grief. Circle of Love

Cindy

Hi Petra and welcome!

I am glad that the pigeons were able to repay your kindness with comfort...I have also found mine tremendously therapeutic.

I really love your blog, it is so vivid and you have really captured the personality of the pigeons in the photos.
