| Birdy has settled in very nicely, he's decided that the top shelve of his cage is the best place to see whats going on in the rest of the room. His cage is next to 4 cages of doves so he has lots of company. Since its suppose to rain for the next couple of days Birdy will be in the house, I can keep asn eye on him just to make sure he's settled, the wkend is going to be warmer & sunny so we will introduce him into the loft then. I will follow up with photos of him in the loft. | |

| I have to admit that I miss Birdy...............he was such a sweetheart. However, I know I did what was best for him.
Thank you so very much Robin for posting his picture. I am so happy he is getting adjusted. He looks like he is so curious of his new surroundings. I hope he is eating well. He is quite a little fatty..........black sunflower seeds are his favorite.
Can't wait to see him in the loft with the other birds. I know that will make him so happy to rejoin the pigeons.
Thanks again to everyone who made this possible.

| Robin............Thank you so very much for the update on Birdy. I really do miss him. Every morning when I feed my house birds, I make time to take each one out of their cage, hold them close to me and talk to them. Birdy was part of the morning ritual, and now he is missing. Although I miss him, I know I have done what is best for him.
I thank you so much for giving him a forever home and a flock to be his family. I know he will be loved, protected, and well cared for by you.
I so very much appreciate the updates and picture of him. I know he will be so happy when you feel he is ready to join the other pigeons. Hopefully the ladies will like him and I hope he finds a mate.
Again Robin...........Thank you so very, very much for adopting my Birdy. And thank you again to everyone who took part in making this happy ending possible.

| The next 3 days are supposed to be in the high 50's so I'm think'n about putting Birdy out in the flight, more room to get away from a bully, and see how he gets along with his new flock. Don't worry Louise I'll be camp'n out on my lawn chair watching how things progress. | |

| Robin...........I can't wait to hear how Birdy reacted out in the Flight Cage. I can't wait to see him reunited with the other birds. I still miss him terribly, but know he is safe with you. I hope the hens find him attractive. I would love for him to find a new mate.
Thanks again for everything you are doing for Birdy.

| Birdy is on the top perch, about 3 ft. from the ground, with him is his new flock. The red barn/shed in the back ground is one of the other lofts and on 2 sides of the flight that Birdys in is other pigeon flights. Although the 3 flights are seperate all of the pigeons can see each other through the wire. | |

| Even though this isn't the best photo I wanted Louise to see that Birdy flew 6 ft. up to perch on a grape vine that grew in the flight. I have seen a few miracles happen with the birds here and when louise said that Birdy couldn't fly higher than 3 ft. I was hoping we could change that, and I think maybe Birdy already did! | |

| Looks like Birdy is fitting in and right at home. That is so good to see. Birdy is lucky to have found such a great place to live. I bet he will mate up quickly. | |

| Oh Robin...............I cannot express my happiness at seeing Birdy out there with his new flock. I cannot hold back the tears. IT IS A MIRACLE............he is able to fly. When I let him out he bearly made it from the floor to the height of the kitchen counter.
In the first picture he looks like he is checking out that grape vine branch and thinking..........can I make it up there? Well I guess he can. I know Birdy is soooooooooooooo happy now, he has waited so long for this.
Thank you so much for posting the pictures. Please keep me posted of his progress.
Thank you.........Thank you..........Thank you!!!!! This makes it all worthwhile..........Birdy has a whole new life ahead of him. I am so grateful to you............If I were there I would have to give you the biggest hug and kiss that you could ever imagine.
I so look forward to seeing and hearing about more of Birdy's adventures.

| Louise, I can just imagine how you must be feeling at seeing all this, I can just feel it in your words. This has to be the most rewarding thing for you, after all you went through helping to get him to this stage in his recovery, he is going to have the best life from now on. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robin, Great pictures, you have a wonderful set-up there for your birds. I love watching this story, keep the news coming. Janet | |

| Thank you everyone for such kind words I had to move Pinkie & Solo from this pen and into another until Birdy gets settled, they were both bullying Birdy too much. I will let Birdy settled in and mark his territory and then try reintroducing Pink again. Solo is just too big of a cock to leave in with Birdy so he will live in the other loft/pen. Birdy still has a lovely black & white feral, a young hen modena & an hen egyptian swift to keep him company. In fact when I did morning checks he was perched on one of the highest perches, 4 1/2 ft. and looked very happy with himself. Later I hope to download some photos of the inside of Birdy's new home. Have no worries Louise he's fitting in very well and seems very happy. | |
