Okay! Today they spent another day in the bathroom with the bath set up. They did have fun bathing again, and had more room to move around. Then I went to clean their cage before returning them to it. And as I pulled out the cage bottom, guess what was under the lower shelf!
They never made a nest with the straw. But under the shelf was an egg! And yes, I should have taken a pic, but didn't even think of it. So I put straw in the bowl, and placed the egg in it. Now to see if they will indeed lay another one in the bowl with the first one. We'll see.

Well, it would have been nice if they had put it in a nest. I don't know why they are not building one. Could be that Cricket doesn't like being in a cage. Or I guess any number of reasons. Maybe she just doesn't feel at home out of the nest box.

Actually, they both bathed last week end too. He just loves the water. He kept jumping back in!

Samantha is a good one for laying her eggs right next to her basket.
Sometimes I wonder if she isn't just to lazy to get in her basket.

That picture is too cute! While he was here, he wasn't interested in any bath I put near him (I had to bathe him myself), it's pretty great to see him enjoy so much!!

Virgil spent a lot of time in his nest. I put all the fixin's in the bowl and he would move it around to suit his fancy. I would put extra stuff in the cage with him, but he just tossed it around; never built his nest with it.
