| Thank you so much for the update, Petra, it's great to have news -- and fantastic to have good news! I hope Alice and Jimi will pop in now and again to say hello. Let us know if you see them! Clever Winnie, tossing her head back to get the seeds! Do you suppose she learned by watching Alice? | |

| Teresa - Jimi and Alice do not only pop in now and again but they wait at the balcony door twice a day to be left in and get their meals Today even Jimi hopped into the box of Willy (thank heavens he (Willy) did not see this because he was sitting on Pina's eggs) and had to be convinced that he could not stay there . It is really amazing. My partner came in from his training on the balcony and behind him 2 little pigeons coming in as well - what a picture! They are not getting nervous a tiny bit when I close the door behind them. No-one - who is not familiar with pigeons - would believe me!!! | |

| How cute, the two little following pijjies. :That\\\'s so f You're probably right about 'non' pigeon people believing you about the antics of your balcony flock, Petra. However, they just might enjoy the story. | |

| Alice and Jimi are free now since more than a week and they are doing very well. They still come in every day without fear although I am closing the door behind them, walking to the foodie pot and their sand box, greeting Winnie, eating like little pigs, staying for half an hour or so - longer if I would let them - and then leaving again to do their own business. Very sweet and a big relief for me knowing about their well being. Now Winnie is left but she is doing quite well too. She still does a bit of circling and stargazing, is not really flying yet although she can do little flights very well and she is exercising. I still have to handfeed her 3 times a day. She is still a bit off balance from time to time and I still do not really know what kind of infection she had that caused the various PMV-like symptoms. But as she had exactly the same symptoms as Alice and is recovering the same way I assume that she will be getting completely healthy as well. When I compare Alice as she is right now, eating like a piggy, sneeky and self-confident, flying around like a little goddess and think about the Alice when she was so sick, near to death as you can remember - then I can hardly believe that this is the very same pigeon. Amazing transformation and I am so happy about this with all the help I got from you guys. So a big to you all!!! Okay - Winnie had her real first bath today - which means I did not put her into the water but she jumped into it all by herself and how she enjoyed it. She put half of my livingroom under water - so much she was enjoying herself and me too watching her. She started her bath 4 times - drying herself in between and then decided to get back for another bath. I have never seen this with another pigeon. Apparently she felt veeeeeery dirty. It was very funny. Of course I had to play the watch dog again because Pina bathed as well and of course there was a competition going on who was going to use the bath first and then immedetiately the beaks talked As usual - 2 little princesses had their dispute and I had to put my hand between so that no-one poked at the eyes of the other. Well - that was exciting again and now they are all tired.... | |

| That's all good news, Petra..... you sure have had a time of it. I hope all feathered beings remain in good health. I guess we'll never know what made them so sick....the most important thing is that it seems to be nearly over. | |

| Cindy and Charis - thank you a lot. That's one of my biggest wishes too. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing pigeons recovered and happy again. | |

| Terrific update, Petra! And it was really funny reading your account of the two 'princesses' competing for first go at the bath! If they keep going like that, they'll be demanding a sauna, a jacuzzi, and goodness knows what! | |

| Lovely images of Alice and Jimmy! It's wonderful to see them so well when they had been so sick! Give them a kiss on the head from me! | |
